Whatever it is that you do, go with it. Let it flow. I am so busy this year. Twelve days in and my ToDo list is scrolling on the screen. How do I track it all? I'm using a web-based software program, Simpleology, which promises to simplify complicated lives. It's not that my life is so complex as much as it that my mind darts back and forth between the many things I need to do and the barage of things I want to do. A visit to the American Sign Museum is like dropping into a 1950's cityscape when a rare gas dubbed neos put the buzz and crackle in American signage. You can still find neon signs glowing in small towns, and in businesses with retro decor. Or just drop into the American Sign Museum. My recipe for capturing liquid fire: f/8, 1/125, ISO 400 to 800 and be there.

Many people have asked if the signs are on display as pictured in the photograph. The American Sign Museum has a huge collection of all types of signs. I photographed a variety of displays but chose my favorite neon signs to put together in a single photograph to create something unique.

Photographers talk a lot about the 'golden hour', that time of day when the light is just right for making photographs. In my opinion there is virtually no lighting, no weather or climatic conditions that do not offer a chance to make a great photograph. If you can see it, there's a way to photograph it. Try something new. Get out after dark or before light. And use use a tripod to make long exposures. 3 seconds, f/16, ISO 200
